This June 5th a rare and spectacular event will occur as the planet Venus passes directly between the Earth and the Sun. Observing a planet move across the disc of the Sun is one of our Solar System’s most stunning experiences. The Amherst Area Amateur Astronomers Association (5A’s) in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) at Quabbin Reservoir cordially invite you to join us for a FREE PUBLIC Venus Transit Observing Party.   Mark your calendar, another Venus transit will not occur in your lifetime!
